English typing practice for BPO, call-center and virtual-assistant applications — the typing screen most Philippine employers run.

Built for BPO and call-center hiring
A typing-speed test is a routine step in Philippine BPO and call-center recruitment — often taken on the same day as the initial interview or assessment. This test uses the same net-WPM measure those screens use: (correct characters ÷ 5) ÷ minutes, with uncorrected errors subtracted, plus an accuracy percentage. Practise here until your score is comfortably above the role’s minimum, then take the real one. For more on what support roles look for, see the BPO typing test.
Typing speed for Philippine roles
| Role | Typical requirement |
|---|---|
| Call-center / voice agent | 30–40 WPM |
| Chat / non-voice support | 40–50 WPM |
| Virtual assistant (VA) | 40–50 WPM |
| Data entry | 45–60 WPM, high accuracy |
| Medical transcription | 60+ WPM, very high accuracy |
Accuracy matters at least as much as raw speed in support work — an agent typing clean responses at a steady pace is worth more than a fast typist a customer can see making mistakes. Minimums are set by each account and employer, so check the posting.
Frequently Asked Questions
Voice accounts commonly ask for around 30–40 WPM, while chat and non-voice support often want 40–50 WPM with strong accuracy. Data-entry and transcription roles ask for more. Each account sets its own minimum, so check the job posting.
It is not the employer's own test, but it uses the same standard net-WPM and accuracy methodology those screens use, so practising here is directly relevant preparation.
Yes — you can generate a free typing certificate showing your WPM and accuracy. It is a practice result rather than an accredited qualification, so present it as such.
Generally yes. Agents type while listening or reading, and visible errors reach the customer. Aim for high accuracy first, then raise speed.
