Terms of Use

What you can expect from the service, and what it expects from you.

Effective

1. Agreement

By using Ai-TypingTest.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Ai-TypingTest.com is an independent project; contact details are on the contact page.

2. The service

Ai-TypingTest.com provides typing speed tests, practice exercises, typing games, AI-generated practice lessons, and reference guides. The core tests are free and require no account. An optional free account adds saved history, streaks, achievements and personalised lessons.

We may add, change or remove features at any time. We will try not to break things you rely on, but this is a free service and we cannot guarantee any particular feature will exist forever.

3. What a score on this site means — and does not

This matters more than the usual boilerplate, so it is stated plainly. Scores use the standard net-WPM formula: net WPM = (correct characters ÷ 5) ÷ minutes elapsed, with uncorrected errors subtracted. Accuracy = correct keystrokes ÷ total keystrokes × 100.

  • A result here is a practice measurement. It is not an official assessment and it is not an accredited qualification.
  • The certificate produced at /typing-certificate records a result you achieved on this site. It is not issued by an examination board, and no employer is obliged to accept it.
  • Exam requirements described on pages such as the exam pages are our summaries of published requirements at the time of writing. Rules change by notification. Always check the official notification for your exam. If you spot something out of date, email us and we will correct it.
  • Different typing sites score differently. A number here will not necessarily match a number elsewhere, and neither is “wrong”.

4. Your account

You are responsible for activity on your account. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not share access with someone whose results you do not want mixed with yours. You may delete your account at any time; see the privacy policy for what that removes.

5. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • Submit fabricated results to the leaderboard — scripted input, automated typing, modified clients, or anything else that produces a score you did not type. We remove entries we believe to be fake and may suspend the account behind them.
  • Scrape, crawl aggressively, or hammer the API in a way that degrades the service for others. Reasonable crawling by search and AI engines is explicitly welcome — see robots.txt and llms.txt.
  • Attempt to break authentication, access another user’s data, or probe for vulnerabilities without telling us. If you find a security issue, report it to us and we will thank you for it.
  • Use the AI lesson generator to produce content that is unlawful, harassing or otherwise abusive.

6. Content and ownership

The site’s design, code, practice passages, guides and blog posts belong to Ai-TypingTest.com unless stated otherwise. You may quote reasonable excerpts with attribution and a link. You may not republish the passage sets or guides wholesale.

Results you generate belong to you. By submitting a result to the public leaderboard, you are choosing to display your score and display name there; you can remove it by deleting your account.

AI-generated lesson text is produced on demand by a third-party model. We do not claim ownership of it and cannot guarantee it is unique.

7. Third-party names

Comparison pages reference other typing sites and, on the exam pages, named public examinations. Those names belong to their owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any of them, and the comparisons are our own opinion based on publicly available information.

8. Availability and disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that saved results will never be lost. Keep your own record of anything that matters to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ai-TypingTest.com is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site — including any decision made on the basis of a score or a stated exam requirement. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Termination

We may suspend or remove an account that breaches section 5. You may stop using the site, and delete your account, at any time.

11. Changes and governing law

We may revise these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.
